Testimonials
We've worked with thousands of amazing people
I am writing to share with you what a tremendous vehicle AdjunctWorld has been in my search for potential online adjunct teaching positions. I have already received three job interviews and one job offer in the past three weeks from jobs marketed on your website. In particular, your Premium package served as a user-friendly resource for clearly identifying teaching opportunities in my particular field of education and interests.
I am just writing to let you know how helpful adjunct world premium is in comparison to other sites that send me job alerts. I receive job alerts specifically to my interests. Usually, I get a list of jobs that do not pertain to me. I often feel like other sites just want to send a significantly long list, including many irrelevant jobs.
There are many strengths to CD501. I greatly appreciated how the assignments were meaningful and acted as building blocks each week. The readings were clear and concise, and the discussion boards allowed for learning to take place between all of us. Dr. Brooke's explicit feedback is like having a conversation about what your passionate about and turning it into an online course. By the end of the six weeks, I am confident that I can teach as well as develop an online course.
As an experienced online facilitator and Instructional Designer, the Lessons in the first three weeks provided great reminders and skill refreshers about facilitating and curriculum development. Unit 4 was outstanding!. The unit clarified and updated the Instructional Design Skills from my Master's in HR program! I feel confident re-adding that skill now to my resume along with my online instructor experience. I refreshed and updated my skills. Great course for the new and experienced online facilitator!
I cannot recommend this course highly enough. It has been extremely helpful in helping me understand the online adjunct hiring process and improving my chances of getting an instructor position. Professor Shriner's feedback and weekly lessons have been invaluable, and I am now more confident in my chances of landing an online adjunct opportunity.
If you are unsure of where to start in terms of how to apply for an online adjunct teaching job, this is the course for you. We not only learned about the theory behind apply for online teaching jobs, but Brooke did a fantastic job of dispelling the myths regarding the application process. The biggest benefit is having a personalized folder with everything needed to successfully apply for any teaching position. You also receive detailed feedback on your teaching philosophy, cover letter, and CV.
AdjunctWorld is so easy to maneuver and I appreciate having so much information right at my fingertips. You are helping so many of us, colleges, universities, department chairs, educators and even, of course, eventually the students! Best wishes to you in this endeavor! It is an asset across the higher ed board.
This is my second class with Dr. Brooke, and I enjoyed it. It was very informative, most of the questions that I wanted to ask have been answered. The course also gives lots of resources. It was well worth the money. There is a lot of reading. However, if you want to gain knowledge and understanding of the online adjunct teaching world, this is the class for you.
The course is very well organized, with each week's learning building on what we've covered in previous weeks. The discussion topics were engaging and encouraged a lot of interesting class engagement, and the weekly assignments pushed me to think critically, to apply course concepts to my own situation, and push myself to try new things. Brooke is super responsive, kind, funny, and her feedback has been invaluable. CD501 is thorough and encouraging!
CD501 was my first attempt to step back into the role of a student, and I experienced some initial performance anxiety. However, Dr. Shriner quickly set the calm, supportive tone for the community and I relaxed. It is evident that she cares about each student and invests a lot of time to ensure everyone has the best opportunity to learn and succeed. One of the other surprise benefits I did not expect was that I am about 80% done developing my first online course!
The course was thorough and extremely well organized. Our instructor, Brooke Shriner, PhD was simply amazing. I had no idea that I could learn so much in just one month. Also I am happy that I took this course prior to applying for an Online Teaching position. I truly recommend this course to anyone who wants to teach online.
This is a terrific site! Thanks for helping adjuncts find jobs. And for listing the minimum education requirements front and center. That saves lots of digging around. I've landed several interviews already and I've been member for a short time. I think the nightly job alerts give me a jump start.
I find that AdjunctWorld posts online adjunct jobs a lot sooner than other job board sites, which I think gives us all a leg up on the competition as far as our applications are concerned. I look forward to waking up to my job alert email every morning. Starting the day seeing opportunities for online math jobs makes me hopeful for growing my online teaching career.
This course was helpful, even for someone with experience teaching online, because as a participant I had the opportunity to consider a different perspective. Interaction with the materials and participants in the class was helpful because I was able to take the time to think about my current course materials and if I could make changes to my approach for better student engagement.
