This week, a member of our AdjunctWorld community asked this question, “How can I learn the different learning management systems online or where can I find a tutorial application for the online environment?” It is a great question and I was tempted to answer it by researching web trainings for each of the popular LMSs (Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Schoology, etc.). But then I wondered, is there one website that trains people on all of them?

And what do you know, yes there was! My searching took me to Lynda.com, a LinkedIn-managed company that provides a variety of online courses training folks in just about all things web technology, including LMSs. They offer high-quality trainings in Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Schoology, and many more. They also have great trainings on online teaching in general.

This web service is generally well-reviewed (here is an example review) and appears to be worth the investment in time and money, especially if you are looking for the LMS training that is often a required part of many online job offerings. I think the LinkedIn connection gives Lynda.com some heft and I wouldn’t be hesitant to mention my Lynda.com training in a CV. I’d certainly mention it in my cover letter.

Hope you all find this website helpful! Let me know how it works for you if you do decide to give it a go. Please leave a comment below!
