Welcome back to the new and improved AdjunctWorld.

First, I’d like to appologize that AdjunctWorld was away for so long.  This was never my intention.  In late 2011 I started consulting for The Learning House, and then I joined them full time as the VP of Product Development last April.  The Learning House is an exciting, rapidly growing provider of online higher education services to over 100 colleges and universities.  2012 was a wild year for us as we grew rapidly and doubled our staff.  (In a subsequent post I’ll fill in details on The Learning House and how it benefits the AdjunctWorld Community).

It turns out that re-inventing AdjunctWorld was a much, much slower process than planned, while I was also trying to keep up with all the demands of my day job.  Having Google (unfairly!) take down the AdjunctWorld blog further compounded the silence.

The good news is that we’re now slowly relaunching the AdjunctWorld site and have enhanced our purpose.  We are now aiming to house the largest collection of Adjunct job listings, both online and on-ground, on the Internet. It’s now free to list jobs with us.  In addition we will be scouring the Web and aggregating every Adjunct job we can find.  It will take awhile (or forever) to get them all listed.  But it won’t be long before AdjunctWorld will be the best and first place you should come for your job search.

You’ll also notice that the AdjunctWorld blog (where you are right now) and the AdjunctWorld job listings are just a click away from each other.  Type something in the search box above, click SEARCH, and you’ll be presented with matching Adjunct jobs in both AdjunctWorld and Indeed.  From there click BLOG in the black bar and you’ll return to the blog.  In the future we have plans add other valuable services for the Community within this site.

So again, welcome back.  I’m happy that you are a part of the AdjunctWorld Community and excited about the new AdjunctWorld and our plans for the future.
